Menstrual Discomfort

The uterus is an organ that has thick, muscular walls. Every month the ovaries release an egg into the fallopian tube where it travels towards the uterus. The egg is about the size of the head of a pin.

These electrical signals then travel across the network of nerve fibers and eventually end in the brain by way of the spinal cord.

The brain interprets these signals as a pin in the uterine muscle walls. These are known as menstrual discomfort.
